Justin Walker owns the company, answers the phone himself, and scopes and prices the work before it starts.
Old-house wiring, panel problems, and circuit troubleshooting each have a dedicated page. See knob and tube wiring, panel and service upgrades, or wiring repairs. If you are unsure where to start, call Justin and describe what you see.
For lighting upgrades, the LED page explains the energy and lifespan figures. For a current outage, the emergency page lists warning signs and next steps. Emergency calls carry an additional charge.

LED upgradesHow the job runs
Lights Out Electric runs each job in three steps: describe it on the phone, have Justin scope and price it before work starts, then complete the agreed electrical work.
Justin answers his own phone, Monday to Friday, 7 to 3. Tell him what is happening and he will tell you what he needs to look at.
Justin looks at the work, explains what it takes, and sets the price before it starts.
Justin completes the agreed electrical work and walks you through what he did before he leaves.
Electrical requirements vary by municipality because Illinois has no single statewide building code. According to the Illinois Capital Development Board, local governments adopt the codes of their choice, and the state keeps a directory of those local requirements. Godfrey and Edwardsville publish adopted-code information, while Alton routes electrical permits and inspections through its Code Enforcement office.
Give Justin the property address with the problem so local requirements can be considered while he scopes the job. Confirm permit and inspection responsibilities before work begins.
Code adoption in Illinois: Illinois Capital Development Board and the state's code directory. Godfrey's adopted electrical code: Village of Godfrey Building and Zoning. Edwardsville's adopted codes: City of Edwardsville building codes. Alton permits and inspections: Alton Code Enforcement.
